Seven State Championships came home to North Jersey this spring:
Ridgewood High School had the spring of its life — winning the Group 4 baseball title (25-7, a 7-6 walk-off win over Kingsway) and the Group 4 girls lacrosse title (a 12-4 win over Cherokee), making them the market's most dominant program this season across any sport.
Ramsey matched that with two championships of its own — the Group 2 baseball title (25-3, beating Governor Livingston 4-2) and the Group 2 softball title (26-3, beating Barnegat 8-1). A genuinely special spring for the Rams.
Old Tappan capped a 26-4 season with the Group 3 baseball title, shutting out Brick Memorial 5-0 in the final.
Delbarton went the distance in a 10-inning thriller to win the Non-Public A baseball title, finishing 29-4 with a 4-1 win over St. Augustine.
And in boys lacrosse, Summit claimed the Group 3 championship to round out the spring's title run. Summit is ranked the number 1 lacrosse team in the country by numerous Creators we work with.
Below are some of our initial YSSR Rankings. Feel free to disagree and / or share!
