Below is the Market Recap;

Montclair advanced in North 1, Group 4 behind Mason Determann’s 17-point performance and now hosts East Orange, which upset Paterson Eastside 59–47 behind James Roberts’ 20-point, 10-rebound double-double. Hackensack (63–53 over Ridgewood) meets Union City in the other semifinal.

In North 2, Group 4, Piscataway’s 72–51 win sets up a matchup with Plainfield, while Union’s 60–29 defensive effort positions them against Linden. Newark Collegiate and Glen Rock advanced comfortably in Group 2 action.

Hackensack (63–53 over Ridgewood) and Union City (65–62 over Bloomfield) survived competitive quarterfinals, reinforcing the compression in the middle tier of the market. In North 2, Group 4, Piscataway and Plainfield controlled their matchups, while Union’s 60–29 defensive effort stood out.

In Group 2 action, Newark Collegiate advanced behind Alieu Kelleh and Jayden Solomon, and Glen Rock posted a dominant 69–31 win.

Tuesday’s semifinals will clarify the hierarchy — guard play and rebounding depth are already shaping sectional outcomes.
